April 1-3, 2009
The Colloquium on Generative Grammar is a conference organized yearly in the Iberian Peninsula where linguists from all over the world discuss the latest proposals on the study of the language faculty within the Generative framework. The previous meetings took place in Madrid (1991), Vitoria (1992), Madrid (1993), Tarragona (1994), La Coruña (1995), Valencia (1996), Oviedo (1997), Lisbon (1998), Bellaterra (1999), Alcalá de Henares (2000), Zaragoza (2001), Lisbon (2002), Ciudad Real (2003), Porto (2004), Barcelona (2005), Madrid (2006), Girona (2007) and Lisbon (2008).
Linguists working in any theoretical framework of Generative Grammar are invited to participate. Each paper presentation will be allotted 30 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion. A limited number of abstracts will also be accepted for two poster sessions. If the authors want to submit their proposals only as either paper presentations or posters, this should be stated clearly in their e-mail message to the organizers.
Submission of Abstracts:
Authors are asked to submit their abstracts in two .PDF files, one anonymous and one with the author's name and affiliation, to the following address:
The body of the message should include the title of the paper, name of the author(s), affiliation(s), surface mail address and e-mail address. Abstracts should be no longer than two pages in length (including examples and references), in Times New Roman 12-point type, single line spacing and 2,5 cm. margins. Submissions are limited to a maximum of one individual and one joint abstract per author.
The official language of the conference will be English.
Reimbursement: The organizers might be able to cover part of the travel expenses of accepted speakers.
Deadline for abstract submission: January 23, 2009.

Vitoria-Gasteiz is a small town and its airport only has (not very good) connections to Madrid and Barcelona, which means that you'll be able to fly here only if you fly Iberia. So you're likely to find better deals if you fly to Bilbao airport (70 km from Vitoria-Gasteiz) and then come to Vitoria-Gasteiz by bus or taxi.
